9 Months Old

Elizabeth had her 9 month check-up a week ago.

Social update:

• She can army crawl like Speed Racer.
• She's starting to crawl on her knees and hands, but doesn't go more than 4 "steps" because she knows she's faster on her belly.
• She loves "walking" when we hold her hands. She does a kind of tap on her toes and kicks out with each step.
• She's got 5 teeth (two just came in at the same time) and one more working its way out.
• She's gobbles the solids we give her; mostly soft fruits with a few soft veggies; Oh, and LOTS of treats (the baby puffs). She shoves up to 5 in her mouth at a time.
• She can say mamamama and dadadada, but she hasn't associated the words with us yet.
• Anytime she sees a puppy or cat she does a high squeal and kicks her feet as fast as she can. She just loves them.

Physical update:

• Age: 9 mo. Length: 28 in (60%) Weight: 17 lbs 6 oz (20%) Head: 16.9 in (18%)

A fun week with the cousins in Idaho

Monday

Not off to a good start, Jen & Lizzy spent an unexpected few hours in the morning at the InstaCare after a bad reaction to a few bites of Peach Yogurt. This picture is about 30 minutes after she'd gotten the Benadryl, so she's not quite as swollen and not nearly as covered in red welts as the initial reaction. (It's fuzzy because it's from my phone.)

After about an hour and a half, Lizzy was smiling, laughing and growling at the doctor. Thank heavens for InstaCare and great doctors! Once the doctor gave us the OK to leave (and to go on a road trip), Lindsey joined us and we started on the 5 hour drive.
This picture is about 10 hours after her initial reaction. She's almost back to her cute self.

The boys were so excited to see Lizzy, the got to stay up until we got there a little before 10 pm.

Idaho Trip: Tuesday

Lots of playing with the cousins in the morning...

cheered for Eric's soccer team (Eric got the only goal for his team!)...

 

(This is the look Lizzy gave crazy Aunt Stacie the whole time because of how much she yelled for the kids. Lizzy was so interested, she let me clip her nails!)

ended the day with a great DANCE PARTY before bed. (I can't figure out how to load video, so here's a few stills.)

Idaho Trip: Wednesday

Stacie had to work, so we played in the morning, dropped Eric off at school, and then headed to the Sacajawea Center for a nice (HOT) walk.

This game was extra awesome for Eric because he got to play for both teams. (And Stacie ended up coaching the last half.)
