The Great Grandma's

These are the pics of the first times both Great Grandma's held Elizabeth.

Great Grandma Elda Miller (Jen's Grandma on her mom's side) with Lizzy when she's about 2 weeks old.

Great Grandma Alaire Hart (Zach's Grandma on his mom's side) with Lizzy when she's about 4 months old.  Zach's Grandma actually met Lizzy when she was about a month old, we just forgot to get pictures.

3 Month Pictures

We had some pictures taken of Elizabeth a few days after she had her 3 month birthday. Here are just a few of the cutest. (I had such a hard time picking, I thought they were ALL adorable.)

I'm surprised we managed to get pictures without her tongue sticking out, since she pretty much has it out all the time so she can lick anything near her mouth.

Elizabeth's Blessing Day

We blessed Elizabeth March 1, but I'm just getting around to posting pictures. She was 9 days short of being 2 months old.

Happy Birthday to the Daddy!!

Thursday was Zach's birthday. We had a joint celebration with Jen's family on Conference Sunday...

(Yes, birthday girl Ashliegh is wearing one of her grandma's old square-dance dresses, because uncle Zach had the girls pretending to be pioneers for some fun photos.)

Then we went to lunch with Zach's family on Thursday afternoon and had a special dinner with just our little family that night with some of Zach's favorite foods.

I had to post some pics of Zach's presents because I am so proud of my creativity with the "Birthday Jar." (OK. I really stole the idea from a wedding shower, but I think it turned out dang cute.)

Since Zach turned 34, I put in 34 reasons/pills listing why I love him. But, that didn't even come close to filling the jar. So I then added pills to redeem for 34 back massages, 34 foot massages, 34 head massages, 34 shoulder massages, and 34 full-body massages.

And the Tootsie Rolls are because even all those pills didn't fill the jar...should have bought a smaller jar.

Too Many Shots

Tally of how many time Elizabeth was stuck with needles before she was two months old: 10 

(And that's not counting the shots she got in the hospital after being born, nor the times they've pricked her to get a few drops of blood.)

#'s 1 & 2: Blood drawn two days in a row when she was just 4/5 days old to test her bilirubin levels. 

Hello little bili-suitcase. So strange.

#'s 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7: A shot in both legs, two days in a row, as well as getting her blood drawn once, because of the ear infection she got at just 6-weeks old.

#'s 8, 9, & 10: The first of her immunization shots; two shots in one leg and one in the other. She's learning early that the doctors is not a fun place despite the big smiling kids faces painted on the walls. (We'll have to take & post a picture of the walls next time we go; it's a little frightening.)

This picture makes her thighs look much bigger than they really are... just to clarify.

On top of all that, a rash came with the ear infection and continued with a vengeance for two weeks. Luckily, our doctor prescribed some cream at her two-month check up, two weeks after it started.

We took this picture two days before her 2 month check-up because the lip bubbles were cute, but then we realized how horrible the rash looked! Yes, it's even on her eyelids. 

We know the rash itched because she was constantly rubbing her forehead on us every chance she got. Poor little mutant-looking baby! We'd always hoped her mutation would be something like flying or controlling the weather.

After just two days of using the magical cream, our pretty girl is back!

Ethan Kingsbury 1 week old, Elizabeth 8 weeks.

A new cousin - Ethan Alexander Kingsbury

Mamma Val (Daddy John not pictured), Grandma Porter, and Baby Ethan.

Ethan was born Wednesday, February 25 at around 3:30 in the afternoon. He weighed 5 lbs. 5 oz. and was 18 inches long. Such tiny little guy!
