Fun times swinging, playing in a hammock, visiting daddy at the Crane Field Golf Course booth for the Clinton City pioneer days, sharing green smoothies with daddy, and snuggling the blankie.

Social update:

• She is walking/running everywhere.
• She's got her 8 front teeth, 4 molars, and her 4 fangs are coming in now.
• She eat's most everything we give her, although she's decided to take a break from carrots and green beans. She recently decided she LOVES steamed broccoli, and she still loves all fruits, especially grapes and strawberries. (Dad isn't happy that mom has gotten her hooked on sweets - like Skittles - too.)
• She loves waiving to people: people who are leaving our house, people in the grocery store, people driving by here pretty much anywhere.
• She can say: mom, dad, hi, bye, pup (puppy), babe (baby), cheese (when taking pictures), please (but sounds like peas), uh-oh, no (used for both no & yes), that (dat), this (dis), and the first Aunt/Uncle name she says - CHRIS! (although it's sounds like "Xis").
• She' has a new favorite character: DUG from UP. She'd watch that all day, every day, if she could. She puts her hands to her mouth, squeals, and then claps for him every time she see's him in the show.
• She's a total shoe girl. Everyday she goes to her closet and picks which shoes she wants to wear (she does have about 8 pairs that fit right now, so she's got options). If they're not on her feet, they're on her hands.
• She's a little too good at standing on her tippie-toes to get into drawers she shouldn't. Then she hauls her prizes around the house all day. Usually it's Jen's lip-gloss or Zach's eye-drops. It's always two of the same things - one for each hand.

She's become a great sleeper!

We went to the Miller Family Reunion in Rigby, ID. It was her first time semi-camping (we didn't actually sleep in a tent).

It's a little sad we can't post pictures of her with smores smeared across her face. Maybe someday. But on a happy note, we made it through the day without any food reactions (the seasonal allergies/wheezing is another story).

Looks interesting, mmm...mmm, it's DELICIOUS!

Crane Field GC Open House June 12

Eyes, Ears, Mouth, & Nose

Elizabeth got some new sunglasses for the summer. The Flip-Flops are new too, since she's walking all on her own now!

She loves putting her fingers in her ears and talking. She must want to block out all the talking the mommy does.

Who knew freeze-dried blueberries make great lipstick?! She looks like a baby vampire.

She has learned how to raise her upper lip to (and seal off) her nose - one of Jen's habits Zach didn't want her to learn. (teehee)

Rub-A-Dubdub, Fun in the Tub

Elizabeth got some new fun letters that stick on the sides of the tub and walls. She loves them, mostly to chew on.

Don't mind our make-shift E (out of the F and I). The set only has one of each letter.

She also had her first colored bath! Thanks Nash's for the suggestion to get Sesame Street Fizzy Tub Color Tablets. I think she's going to enjoy these for quite a while. We mixed two reds and one blue to make purple!

CHEESE!

Elizabeth has discovered how to smile so that everyone says "OH, she's so adorable." Followed by "Look at all those teeth!"

We love this little face so much!

Doctor, doctor give me the news

As many of you know, Elizabeth has started having wheezing problems when we go out of town or visit other people's homes. We've had a few out of town doctors visits, which resulted in us getting a nebulizer to give her breathing treatments when needed. She hasn't had problems at our house though, until the last week or so, but nothing a nebulizer treatment didn't take care of.

However, yesterday she woke up wheezing and having trouble breathing so much that we took her to our doctors. There they gave her a good dose of medicine to open her airways and then 3 back-to-back nebulizer treatments. And, after 2 hours that hadn't done much to help reduce her wheezing.

So, they sent us to the hospital to be monitored and treated further. We were there for about 6 hours with more medicine and another nebulizer treatment. We couldn't help but laugh at her in the tiny gown while at the hospital. (Sorry the pictures are fuzzy, we only had Zach's phone to get pics.)

Luckily, her oxygen level was good so they let us go home, rather than keeping us overnight. We did 1 more treatment before she went to bed, another this morning and now she's doing great!

I have so much respect and sympathy for families whose little ones are in the hospital for days, weeks, and worst - months and beyond. Although they do their best to make you feel comfortable (bringing in toys, getting drinks. etc.), it's just not the same as being at home.

Hooray for a new cousin!

Jen's sister Stacie and her family - Mark, Erik & Aidan - welcomed baby girl Isabelle Jane on April 7th.

She's so cute and we can't wait to go visit and squeeze and hold and love her in person. Elizabeth loves babies...it was her second real word (other than mamma & dad), right after puppy.

We got all these adorable pics from Jen's mom, who got to spend 10 days with the Oliverson family. Grandpa Porter was able to go spend a weekend too.

We're so glad you're here Isabelle!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy Zach!

Lunch with the Alands the day before Zach's actual birthday.

Poor Elizabeth touched something on her highchair and had a reaction that ended in a rash and hives all over her little mouth and cheeks.

Patrice gave Zach an awesome gift basket with lots of goodies, the book Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, and the movie Sherlock Holmes. Thanks Patrice!

Elizabeth and Jen gave Zach a chair-top back massager, the new Hugh Nibley book "One Eternal Round," and the new Truman G. Madsen dvd "In the Holy Land: The Eternal Christ."

And Elizabeth gave her daddy lots of smiles, kisses, and high fives!

She kept putting her crown on her head this way and it looked like a bonnet! How can that face not make you smile?!
